Judy James
"For those of us who love the romance
of the "Western Lifestyle"
Joe Baker perpetuates this unique form of Americana."
Judy James is one of the premier Western entertainers in the
nation. Combining history and song, she takes you back to those
"Wonder Days of Yesteryear." While singing about the
American West, she makes the songs and our heroes come alive.
You feel like you are sitting around a campfire during a cattle
drive or riding down the trail on your favorite horse along with
your pard.
Whether being a featured Performer in Tucson, AZ, for the Western
Music Association, singing at the Elko, NV, Cowboy Poetry Gathering,
or presenting a program for a school age crowd, Judy is a professional,
bringing years of performing experience. At ease with elementary
school-age students through senior citizens, Judy can always mold
her show to entertain the audience, earning their acclaim.
Following her family's ranching and musical tradition, Judy James
sings and plays cowboy music. "I play and sing because I
love this music , I love the history it represents," she
says, "and because I treasure the friends I've made singing
along the way."
James has played from the Cowboy Poetry Gathering in Elko, Nevada
to Great Falls, Montana, to roundups and cowboy gatherings in
New Mexico, Oklahoma, Missouri and Texas including the Fort Worth
Stock Show, The Texas Cowboy Poetry Gathering at the State Fair
of Texas, National Cowboy Symposium in Lubbock and the Western
Heritage Classic in Abilene.
