Using Antique maps to
illustrate and supplement other teaching materials can be very
useful. Antique maps are much more interesting since they were
published at the real time that historic events were happening.
And with their diversity they are definitely much easier and
more fun for the student to look at. They also contain historic
content that modern maps just don't show.
Each Texas or US History
Slide Show map set contains over a dozen antique maps that have
been selected to correspond to significant time periods in the
historical development. They have been arranged by time line
from earliest to latest. These maps are described on the Slide
Show control page. The Texas map set has a simple script included
that may be used as a guide. It can be printed or copied
to a word processor.
The CD runs on any Windows® 98SE PC or later
and is portable, requiring no installation. It does not run
on on Macintosh computers. This CD will not run on Windows
95 or NT or on a Mac or Linux computer without a
Windows emulator.
